Our app is designed to empower our users to influence their longevity by understanding and controlling simple but meaningful biological markers, most of which can be easily gathered at home, with simple health and fitness gadgets. We believe in transparency, and we're committed to being upfront about our privacy practices, including how we treat your personal information. This policy explains our privacy practices for our applications, software, websites, products, and services (the "Services").

We need to process your personal information in order to provide the service and run our business. By accepting our Terms & Conditions, you are confirming that you have read and understand this policy, including how and why we use your information.
Registration: For your convenience and privacy, you can create an account using Apple login. Alternatively, you may provide your email address and a password. You also need to provide other types of information, such as your name, date of birth, biological gender, country of residence, education, height and weight. We use this data to personalize biomarker information and calculate your biological age.
Health Data: To the extent that information we collect is health data or another special category of personal data subject to the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), we ask for your explicit consent to process the data. We obtain this consent prior to your use of our Services. You can use your account settings and tools to withdraw your consent at any time, including by stopping use of a feature, removing our access to a third-party service, or deleting your data or your account.
Longevity Biomarkers may, upon your permission, collect or infer health information which may include physiological information such as heart rate and blood pressure, comparative information such as VO2 max, BMI, Lean Body Mass, Body Fat Percentage, Heart Rate Variability, Resting Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, body profile information such as height and weight and waist circumference, as well as other indicators and indices.
Automated Information: Longevity Biomarkers automatically receives and collects information from your mobile device or your browser when you use the App or visit the Site (e.g., your IP address, cookies). This information is stored in log files. We may combine this information from your browser or your mobile device with other information that we collect about you. This information is used to prevent fraud and to keep the Services secure, to analyze and understand how the Services work for users and provide more personalized experience for users.
We may also automatically collect device-specific information when you install, access, or use our Services. This information may include the hardware model, operating system information, app version, app usage and debugging information, browser information, and device identifiers.
Location information: We collect and process non-precise location information such as your country of residence when you sign up for the Services. We use this information to improve the accuracy of your biological age. Published studies have shown that, for example, people in Italy tend to live longer lives.
Third-party services information: If you share your information from our Services or login with Apple, we may receive information from that other service. For example, if you login with your Apple account, we may receive information that you agree to provide such as your name, email, profile information. You can stop sharing the information from the other service with us by removing our access to that other service.
Analytics Information: We use a mobile analytics software to allow us to understand the functionality of the App on your phone. This software may record information such as how often you use the App, what happens within the App, aggregated usage, performance data, app errors and debugging information, and where the App was downloaded from. We do not link the information we store within the analytics software to any personally identifiable information that you submit within the mobile application.
Providing and Improving our Services: We use the information we collect and receive to deliver the Services to you, as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy, and to honor our Terms of Service contract with you. For example, we use your information to provide you with data analyses, notifications, trends, insights, and visualizations associated with your data. We use the information we collect to personalize and improve the Services and to develop new ones. For example, we use the information to protect against and troubleshoot errors; conduct data analysis and testing; promote and market the Services; perform surveys and research; and develop new Services and features. We may also use your information to show you more relevant content and provide you with personalized insights to help you improve. For example, information such as your height and weight allows us to derive estimates of your longevity biomarkers which helps us to improve the confidence we have in the biological age algorithm.
Communicate with You: We use your information when necessary to send you important notices about the Services, provide you notifications that are part of the Services, and respond to you when you contact us. You can control marketing communications via the “Update Preferences” and “Unsubscribe” links in an email.
Keeping our Services Safe and Secure: We use the information we collect to advance and promote the security and safety of our users. For example, we may use the information to authenticate users, respond to a legal request or claim, enforce our terms and policies, and conduct audits.
For personal data subject to the GDPR, we rely on several legal bases to process the data. These include when you have given your consent, which you may withdraw at any time using your account settings and other tools; when the processing is necessary to perform a contract with you, like the Terms of Service; and our legitimate business interests, such as in personalizing, improving, and developing the Services, marketing new features or products that may be of interest, and promoting security and safety as described above.
Legal and Safety: Longevity Biomarkers may also retain, preserve, or release your personal information to a third party in the following limited circumstances: in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements; to protect, establish, or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to comply with a subpoena, court order, legal process, or other legal requirement; or when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with the law, prevent imminent physical harm or financial loss, or investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, threats to our property, or violations of our Terms & Conditions.
We do not share your personal information, unless you direct us to disclose your information to others, such as when you direct us to share your information using the sharing functionalities of our Services, subject to any legal obligations to share such information.
We do not share non-personal information that is de-identified or aggregated so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual.

We store your data on your device. We will retain and use your information to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and as otherwise described in this policy.
The security of your personal information is important to us. Your account information is protected by a password. It is important that you protect against unauthorized access to your account and information by choosing your password carefully and by keeping your password and device secure, such as by signing out after using the Services.
We use a combination of physical, technological, and administrative measures to protect the information that we collect from or about you from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. These measures include the use of Secure Sockets Layer (“SSL”) technology to allow for the encryption of many of our Services.
Your passwords are encrypted using strong irreversible hashing algorithm bcrypt.
We regularly review, test and update our security policies and systems in order to meet the highest standards of data security. Unfortunately, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Only with your permission, our technology reads data from your Apple Health App to improve the accuracy of the Service and the usability of the App. You may allow Longevity Biomarkers to read all or some of the following data from Apple Health app: VO2 max, Body Mass Index, Weight, Waist Circumference, Lean Body Mass, Body Fat Percentage, Heart Rate Variability, Resting Heart Rate and / or Blood Pressure.
We know that members of our community value having control over their own information, so Longevity Biomarkers gives you the choice of providing, editing or deleting certain information in your account, as well as requesting that your account be deactivated.
Disclosure (Data access and portability): Access to your personal data through the use of App and portability of your data by accessing your longevity biomarker reports.
Data correction and/or editing: You can edit and delete much of your information by logging into your account.
Deletion: You delete your data via setting in the App or you may request that your data be deleted—as allowed by the applicable regulation—by emailing [email protected] . If you choose to delete your account, please note that while most of your information will be deleted within 30 days, it may take up to 90 days to delete all of your information, like the data stored in our backup systems. This is due to the complexity and size of the systems we use to store data. We may also preserve data for legal reasons or to prevent harm, including as described in the How We Share Information section.
Withdrawal of consent or objection to processing: You can object to data processing in certain limited circumstances by emailing [email protected] . In such cases, we will cease processing your information unless we have compelling legitimate grounds to continue processing or where it is needed for legal reasons.
Where you have consented to our use of your data for direct marketing purposes, you can always withdraw your consent, using the "unsubscribe" link in such communications or changing your marketing preference settings.
Following your deletion of your account, while most of your information will be deleted within 30 days, it may take up to 90 days to fully delete your personal information from our systems. Additionally, we may retain information from deleted accounts to comply with the law, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce the Terms of Service and take other actions permitted by law.
We may amend or update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we’ll provide a prominent notice, post the updated Privacy Policy on the Services, and we’ll indicate when such changes will become effective. We encourage you to check back regularly and review any updates.
